Music is something I rely upon when I'm heading anywhere, so COMMUTE was created as a soundtrack for cruising, flying, traveling, or dare I say, relaxing.

Throughout the album I've tried as much as possible to re-create a sense of movement within the outside world, and bring this into the record using field recordings and other found sounds from my own personal commutes.

I hope this album brings as much groove to your life as it has for me; it's been a real joy to create.

Thommy Knoles is a producer, session musician and keyboardist based in Asheville, NC.
He grew up playing jazz and listening to hip-hop. Making beats and playing the piano have gone hand in hand for most of his life.

Thommy is also a founding member of funk/fusion band STIG.
